BCFEST 2017 Highlights “ART, CULTURE, MUSIC,CLIMATE CHANGE,FOOD & HEALTH

People came out in the rain and the mud to witness this amazing event called Broccoli Fest. This was my second go around for the big event. This year there were bigger acts and bigger sponsors. Tidal was a big sponsor this year , which was featured on the jumbo screen. There were food trucks , artist , vendor and a 360 camera demonstration from Defy.  Tidal gave out ponchos to on goers.  Chaz French who is a DMV native , put on an amazing performance along with 10 year old dj  “DJ Kool Flash”.  I have now become a new fan of NAO , an amazing artist from the UK. Her stage performance is amazing. 21 savage had the main stage on fire along with man other artists.  We got a chance to engage with the patrons and artists at the event. It was a fight to get the best shots and video footage. As for the media side of things, their  were major sound issues and sound check took very long.  The media check in was not very organized. The first year I came it was amazing and media was treated very well but, this year it was slightly different.  Media that had came from out of town were discourage by the way they were treated but , they endured through it to get the content they needed. My shoes got muddy just to get my shots in but, thats the life of a media maven. Over all Solange gave an amazing performance and engaged with her fans. Lil Yachty had the stage on fire and he engaged with his audience very well. The people lost their mind when he got on stage. It was as they say “LIT”  Over all it was a great turn out.  M-1 from Dead Prez surprised us by gracing the stage.  Check out our photos and recap of BC FEST 2017.
