1. What made you get into your field ?

It wasn’t planned.  I went to FIT to study fashion, buying and merchandising, hoping to one day become a wardrobe stylist for film and TV, but ended up becoming the VP of Publicity for WuWear (WuTang Clan’s clothing line) and taking the brand global.

2. what motivates you as a business owner?

Ambition

3. What challenges have you faced being in the industry?

I’ve faced many challenges in the industry.  But the most one that is visual and still effective, is proving yourself as a business women, in a room full of vultures.

4. What has been your biggest highlight  in your career?

I’ve had quite a few and would love to share the one’s that established my position in this industry, which was branding WuWear and taking it global, without the assistant of social network and favors.  The second one was getting the platinum producer Dame Grease his own signature software  “Grease-A-Lizer”  with the most prestigious software company to date MAGIX.
5. How is it balancing motherhood and work?

Balancing motherhood and work is beautiful! As a mother you have to make important decisions in life, and as a business woman you must strategically plan every move in order to see its success.  Therefore you establish a balance of understanding, of what you want and deserve out of life. So when GOD blessed me with a beautiful son my life was in order and it was the beginning of a new love for me.  I took time off from work to take care of my son providing him with so much love and attention. Once he was old enough to understand what mommy does, I felt comfortable bringing him around my business surroundings to a certain degree. During the school year I have my mother who is so supportive and the best grandma a child can have to take care of him while I’m able to run my business and travel.  During the summer he’s enjoying mommies and daddies  fruit of labor :). So balancing motherhood and work has been a soulful blessing.
6. Who are some of the people you are currently working with and who are some people you look forward to working with in the near future?

I’m still working with the same people I started in this industry with. Which is WuWear and Dame Grease.  My newest account is MINT, a luxury goods brand, straight out of Hong Kong.  I look forward to working with new artist establishing them with creative content to take them to the next level.  That right there shows your strength and influence in a market which usually is difficult to get in!

7. Are there any events or things we should look out for from your brand?

Yes.  I’m excited to announce new brand partnerships which are on the horizon and would love for everyone to check out my website www.reveal-agency.com for new updates and ventures coming soon.  I’m not into pre-mature ejaculation if you know what I mean.. ha!
8. What does branding mean to you?

Aah I love this question! Branding to me is integration.  To have the ability to implement, activate and design a brands image, developing the consistency to continually apply the integration into a branding cycle.  Many people don’t understand there are many phases of the brand’s image. One must be well connected in order to be able to transmit proper communication to the media about your clients brand. Mastering each function is very vital to your clients needs.  An effective brand strategy gives you a major edge in increasingly competitive markets. Keeping your clients relevant, and not everyone can do that! Why REVEAL is the company of choice.
9.What advice would your give a up coming individual trying to work in your field?
INTERN! Everyone is looking for the quick come up.  Nowadays people are looking for the hand out without putting in that work!  I have a protege, who I’m training and the first thing I told her was to read, research and repeat. Watch what I do and ask questions.  The best learning experience is always hands on. Invest in yourselves by attending conferences and workshops, but make sure it applies to your field. Network! go out there and meet people. Refrain from spending half of your day on social media watching successful people be just that and create your own lane by going out to functions and working the floor.  Make it your business to have the essential tool, a business card (if your serious about your business), it shows your professionalism.  And take initiative, start with a journal, write down your to do list and what you want to achieve, seeing it on paper makes it a reality.  And lastly Believe in yourself, because if you don’t know one will.  Goodluck and Godbless!
10. Are you involved in any charities or looking to be involved with ?
