January 8, 2015 – The Houston Chronicle premieres Roosh Williams’ music video to the title track of his forthcoming album Unorthodox.Directed by B-Luce, the video pays homage to the fantasy fighting video game, Mortal Combat, where Roosh is found in an epic dance battle against his alter-ego R Double.

Produced by MSimp, the snare driven track features dynamic strings which further accentuates Roosh’s lively presence, poetic wordplay and rhythmic fluidity.

Roosh explains, “The song is about battling your inner self. Something we all go through at times.”

Originally from Tehran, Roosh Williams had an affinity for poetry and freestyle rap since his childhood. After years of honing his craft and the debut his first album Common Struggles of a Modern Man in 2011, the Houston MC released his most fully recognized work, deja Roo: Times Have Changed. Inspired from real world experiences, the album had garnered praise from Complex as “one of the top ten Houston Rap Projects of 2013″and Houston Press hailed him “Artist of The Week”. Rosh has achieved mentions from HipHop DX, Pigeon and Planes, and XXL with nods from Houston music vets Scarface and Devin the Dude.

Roosh will be releasing his hotly anticipated album Unorthodox later this year.
